Proudly Made In The U.S.A.
Bell Charter Oak takes tremendous pride in having crafted holsters and accessories for thousands of law enforcement officers and members of all branches of the U.S. Military. Over 35 years working within the criminal justice system and just as long designing and crafting holsters, we understand what works in the street from practical experience. You would be hard pressed to discover a member of a major law enforcement agency not represented within our client base. We are pleased to say that lawfully armed citizens, shooting enthusiasts and sportsmen alike, are also among our most valued clients.
Among our achievements, we have produced holsters and accessories for both major films and the stage. Most recently, for the Disney production of Edgar Rice Burroughs "Tarzan The Ape Man" on Broadway and "West Side Story" which premiered in Washington D.C. and continues to run on Broadway. Prop masters and wardrobe department professionals may contact our office directly for more information about theatrical services.
We offer many designs and styles of inside waistband holsters, for more handgun models, than any other custom maker. The inside waistband holster remains the most versatile, convenient, concealable and comfortable style of concealment holster. It's popularity as the holster style most often requested by our clients, speaks to it's remarkable performance. Our reputation as the "go to" snub revolver specialists has been earned by decades of particular emphasis on the development of practical streetworthy designs made specifically for small frame short barreled revolvers. We championed the development of compact size big bore revolvers for decades before they became "mainstream" products offered by the major firearms manufacturers because we knew from experience, that they also occupied a valuable niche in the battery of relevant defensive small arms. The snub revolver clearly remains the most popular defensive weapon choice because it is both eminently reliable and simple to operate. It's fundamental design continues to evolve which tells us it is definitely here to stay.
Small autos of every conceiveable caliber and style continue to share a strong position in the marketplace. Like small frame revolvers, they are convenient enough to drop in a pocket and therefore, are very easily concealed. Critics will alway's emphasize the obvious disadvantages of sub caliber defensive tools but despite that, they can and do provide protection, even if it is minimal.
Our designs work. Thousands of our customers from every walk of life have confirmed what we've known long before. Of course a little common sense and personal honesty will go a long way in helping you avoid the wrong selection. You see, no holster design is a panacea. If you are obese, excessively slender or in some way depart from the average or typical body size, that distinction should give you pause for close personal reflection. I carried back up guns at the appendix inside the waistband, usually two of them, for many years as a young policeman. As I grew older and gained weight, this often became an uncomfortable style holster for prolonged periods of use. The holster didn't change, I did. So I had to adjust tactical strategies and holster options. The average person with the use of a good quality scabbard worn on the belt, an inside waistband holster and a pocket holster can carry in most circumstances, social settings and climates regardless of body proportions or wardrobe. If not all, at least one of these will work for nearly everyone. Which will work best for you is entirely your call.
